disABILITY: Making Meaning of our Assumptions was an event sponsored by the Cross-Cultural Center as part of their Critical Cougars: Unlearn. Relearn. series dedicated to engaging the student body in dialogues about social justice. This event facilitated examination of how different abilities are represented through media to "unpack how we construct social meanings around ability." This event held space for differently-abled students to share their experiences being labeled as "disabled" and dealing with social assumptions.

Pictured here is a handout from the event held on the 29th of March 2019.
